Tracy is a Professor of Pharmacology and Director of the Centre for Epigenetic Research in Child Health and Brain Development at the University of Maryland.  Her major research focus concerns stress, particularly during pregnancy, as a risk factor for neurodevelopmental disorders and neuropsychiatric disease in the offspring, assessing sex specificity, developmental timing and the underlying mechanisms that lead to programming the brain in pregnancy with resultant major implications for neurobehavioral responses in postnatal life.
