Shinichi Kuriyama

Harmonisation of Genetics and Lifestyle in Personalised Medicine
Japan

Shinichi is a Professor at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, and Director of the Tohoku Megabank Organisation. He leads two large-scale genome cohort studies, the community- based cohort and the birth and three generation cohort, one of the largest three generational data sets globally. His research goals are to monitor a person’s health and to care for a person’s health after mega-disaster, and then to learn from experience how best to respond in the event of future disasters.
