Linda Richter

Linda is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She has made major contributions to the impact of maternal and child undernutrition on adult health and human capital, to studies of the developmental potential in the first 5 years for children in developing countries and to studies of inequality in early childhood; risk and protective factors for early child development, amongst others. More recently her work has considered the impact of the HIV epidemic, violence, depression, and nutrition on families in South Africa.
