Wendy Robinson (Vice Chair)

Wendy Robinson earned a PhD in Genetics at the University of California, Berkeley USA, was a postdoctoral fellow at the Medical Genetics Institute at the University of Zurich, Switzerland and is currently a Professor of Medical Genetics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She is also a senior scientist at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and is the Asst. Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education in the UBC Faculty of Medicine. Her current research focuses on genetic and epigenetic studies of placental and fetal development using ‘omics technologies, and bridges from basic science to clinical applications. She has served on the scientific advisory board of the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and Chaired the Reproduction and Healthy Pregnancy Research group, as well as having diverse leadership experience in graduate, postgraduate and public education
